East African Impact (EAI) supports vulnerable kids from Tanzania to attend secondary school (grades8-11). Only 19% of secondary school aged children from Tanzanian rural areas have the opportunity to attend school beyond primary school (grades 1-7). This lack of education for the young ensures the continuous cycle of poverty. Education is central not only for poverty reduction but can also reduce inequality. Low self-esteem and ambition are common among children in poverty. We have witnessed over the years that the kids you and others have supported now have dreams of a brighter future not only for themselves but for their families and their communities. Tanzania’s future depends on well-educated students becoming leaders.

We would like to see ALL of our kids in private boarding schools, if possible. Not only does the private Christian school continue to build on the faith principles fostered in their private primary schools, Mairowa Integrity School and Kondoa Integrity School, but the facilities, teaching environment, and student/teacher ratios are superior, leading to better opportunities for future success.

HOW CAN I HELP?

Simply choose one or more of the kids pictured and complete the necessary information requested on the Donate page. When completing the information also CHECK Optional Description and type in your student’s name and ID#.

WHAT SHOULD MY SPONSORED CHILD EXPECT FROM ME, THE SPONSOR?

  • Prayer – This is the first time leaving home for most kids. Truly a huge change. Pray they will adapt, adjust and succeed.
  • Communication – Seriously consider to write your student two times per year. They love this contact and this expression of love is very encouraging to them. You could include a picture of you and and your family, another treasure to these kids.
  • Financial Support – Your financial support of $75/month will cover the costs of a private Christian school including tuition, board/room, health care, uniforms, books, school supplies and transportation to and from school for one year.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM MY SPONSORED CHILD?

  • Two letters per year from your student/s.
  • An annually updated photo of your student
  • Grades and progress report
  • Deep gratitude from your student and East African Impact
